Who is this person cosplaying? Apparently they were snapped by Loy Fruel.

I found this photo in the Cosmode USA book, and I'm bursting to find out which character this person is cosplaying, but I can't find the identity of the character anywhere:



All I know is that the photo was taken by Loy Fruel at a Californian convention sometime in the early noughties to June 2008, which is when the book was published. Other than that, I know nothing about the costume or even the photo. In fact, I can't find this photo anywhere online except for where I posted it myself.

Luckily, I've discovered that Loy has an account on this very website under the name kamuishirou1999. I've also found his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts:

If you can't identify the character, try contacting Loy through these accounts. I must warn you, though, that his Twitter posts are protected and that his Instagram is private. Alternatively, if you or someone else that you know was this exact cosplayer, don't be afraid to tell me.

I'll be over the moon once I finally find the name of this character! I've spent years trying to find the character's identity, to no avail.

First of all, I need to know what exactly this costume is and whether it's a fictional character or just an original maid uniform.

Second, I tried the Anime Characters Database and every reverse image search online, but neither could help me identify this character.

And third, the person in the photo isn't wearing a generic maid costume. She is wearing a white blouse with frilly cap sleeves, a white bow tie, a black lace-up corset, a white half-apron over what appears to be a black-and-white layered skirt, black opera gloves, what looks like a black cap or hairband with white lace trim and light brown hair styled in loosely curled pigtails. The typical maid costume doesn't have a white blouse, lasy cap, opera gloves or corset, but instead has a white apron over a short- or long-sleeved black dress and a frilly white headband.

Is there anyone on this website who has worn this exact costume? If so, please tell me!

Or alternatively, if someone told me which year and at what convention the photo was taken at, that would make it easier to identify this costume...
