We are happy to announce the following musical guests have been confirmed

DJ Heavy Grinder- A native of Seattle, HeavyGrinder currently resides in Los Angeles where she is a part time student, and full time DJ. At age thirteen, she began to actively pursue her love of music and being on center stage by taking up vocal training and modeling. After years of traveling, she made her way to LA in 1998. It was in the City of Angels that she realized her new love, cozying up to the sounds of underground dance music, captivated by the power of the DJ and the reaction of the crowd.
A dream was born.
Now 24 year old, HeavyGrinder is capturing the attention of audiences worldwide. Spain ( Ibiza ), Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Mexico have been key international stops for this talent so far. In the Los Angeles club scene alone, she has played at most notable venues including Key Club, Highlands, Century Club, Avalon, Sunset Room and White Lotus. When she’s not playing in her hometown, HG is regularly headlining events across the United States at some of the biggest clubs and has performed in cities from Anchorage to Washington D.C., and Atlanta back to Honolulu as well as dozens of cities in between.
As of recent, HeavyGrinder has been working on her own music production and has released a track featuring the veteran vocal talents of SuSu Bobien on the well-respected house label, Soundmen on Wax; as well as a track You think You do that was pressed on vinyl by Star Fruits Records.

Royal Dead - Japanese Rock Band preformed all over Europe and Asia.


Rose Thompson/Raqs Attaq! Rose is a professional dancer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is known by many as the 'Chatni/Chutney Bellydancer' within the West-Indian community, or the 'Otaku Bellydancer' at cosplay events and anime/manga conventions.



We are starting something new. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will be showing Cos-Play Video. This way you can act out your own skit with your own props and you pick the backgrounds. The winning Video will be put on ZONA CON’s My SPACE and the website. Judging of the video will be by attendees, your friends who are registered as attendees. So pack the convention with your friends. The voting barrel will be at the registration desk. 1st place $300 with a trophy and a special Video Cos-play winner T shirt, 2nd place $200 with a trophy and a special Video Cos-play winner T-shirt and 3rd place $100 with a trophy and a special Video Cos-play winner T-shirt. Everyone will receive a certificate that they participated in this contest The Video/CD must be no longer then 5 minutes. No less than 2 minutes.

Please bring with you a regular VHS tape or Video CD to Zona Con on Thursday November 19, 2009 between 9am to 7pm or Friday November 20, 2009 between 10am to 3pm. No Nudity, No Vulgar Language, No pornographic content, No drug scenes.

June 22,2009 (Orlando, FL) – Zona Con is ready to TESTIFY! Terrance
Zdunich is coming to Zona Con!

Terrance Zdunich is a Performer, Artist, Illustrator, Writer and
overall Inventor. He is most famously known for his role as the
“Grave Robber” in REPO! The Genetic Opera, he is also the co-writer.
During the weekend expect surprises wherever Terrance is. Zona Con
will be Terrance’s first anime convention appearance and his second
convention appearance in total. Terrance will be hosting many events
and will be providing commentary as well as in-depth views into the
deep, dark depths of REPO! The Genetic Opera. REPO! The Genetic Opera
will be screened nightly and will be shadow casted while playing.
Autograph sessions with Terrance will be limited. For crowd controll a
line ticket is needed.
Autograph sessions with Terrance Zdunich will be available by a ticket
system to prevent over-crowding and are limited . Additional
REPO! The Genetic Opera and Terrance Zdunich items will be available
for sale at Zona Con near the Mortician’s Desk (Registration Desk).

Also Kynt and Vixsin the "Pink and Black Attack" will be attending
ZonaCon Anime/Horror Show. They will be walking and taking
pictures for all there fans. Join Kynt and Vixson as they party at
Zona Cons 2 raves "Wake Up the Dead Rave" on Friday and
Saturday "The Rave From the Grave". Death shrouds are optional.

Zona Con is an annual Japanese Animation (“Anime”) and Horror
convention located in sunny Orlando, FL. The 2009 convention will be
held the weekend of November 20 – 22, 2009 at the Holiday Inn
International Drive Resort. Toe Tags (Registration) are available at
$35 +tax before the convention and $45 +tax at the door. A Friday only
Toe Tag is $20 +tax, Saturday only is $40 +tax and Sunday only is $20
+tax. Hotel rooms are still available at the host hotel the Holiday
Inn International Drive Resort for the low price of $99 +tax a night.
