Is there some sort of problem with the email alerts? I haven’t gotten any for a few days when I should have. Even before, there were some costumes added/updated that should have been sent with the email alert that weren’t...

Did you check your spam box, to see if you accidentally flagged the mail as spam?
And which notifications are they, series or cosplayers?

gmail is fairly good at directing mail to the right place. The only spam I get is what's redirected from my convention staff addresses.
It looks like today I got an email with, from a quick glance, 4 days worth of update alerts.

Should be fixed now! (too many people not updating their email, so the bounceback turned off our system)
