New to cosplay

Hey there, I'm new to cosplay stuff, but I wanna try it. Should I choose a particular theme or a phenomenon for that? I mean some guys told me on forums that I need to choose something Scandinavian, as I look like a Viking (LOL, just look at my pic and you'll see why). But I guess I could try something from Game of Thrones first. What do you think?

It is an ideal idea. You can try it. I love the characters in Anime, so I choose them to cosplay
