I was just wondering if you have to be 18 to do the cosplay I am only 16 at the but will probably be 17 when I started if thats possible. It might seem like a dumb question but I'm hoping the answer is that 17 is ok...help please!

you can cosplay at any age...
my daughter (who's 2) will be cosplaying storybook chi when i cosplay chi at the next convention i attend:)
