Fullmetal Alchemist Cosplay!
I'm going to a con and I decided to go as Edward Elric from FMA. My mother told me she would rather buy me pornography and bondage gear than buy the costume online for a hundred plus dollars. I was wondering, does anyone know where I could buy a similar coat to Ed's or white gloves? If so, it would be so appreciated!
Will dance for a decent signature.

Not sure about the coat. If there's a Salvation Army or Goodwill store nearby, you could check them out. Even if you don't find one in red, you may be able to dye it the proper color. A few minor modifications may be necessary too.
As for the gloves...with Halloween approaching, you may be able to find gloves in a local department store. Short ones may be hard to come by, but you can always shorten a pair of longer ones.
That's my half a penny's worth. Best of luck with the outfit. ^^

Yay!
Wow! That was very helpful! Thank you so much, I think I might need to dye the coat red, I'm already dying my undershirt black. Again, I really appreciate anyone who helps others out.

Why not make your own, his outfit is probably one of the easiest (since it doesn't have to fit perfectly)? I would estimate the material cost (including fabric, notions, and etc.) to be around $20-30 USD. The coat is essentially 3 (or 4 pieces if you would like a seam line in the back) and the sleeves are basically trapezoids~ I'm sure you can find a pattern for a similar coat and either paint on/heat transfer the symbol on the back~
As for the gloves, I would just buy a pair (like others have said, Halloween is just around the corner)~
