Cosplay ideas for blondes?

Hey there!
I'm really new to cosplay. Like, really new. It's been one of those things I've always wanted to do but never had the money or guts for, but now that I work at a discount store and have access to a sewing machine, I think I could whip up a couple of things with some effort. (If I could ever get it right. I'm such a perfectionist, it'd be brutal.)
The issue is that I have absolutely no idea where to start. I've been considering a Link cosplay for a long time, because I have androgynous features (when I'm not wearing makeup, haha) and I think that could be fun.
Height: 5'4
Weight: 115 lbs (Reasonably busty, linear figure)
And blonde, obviously. Green eyes, too, but that's sort of a non-issue, I guess. Any recommendations on something to start with? I'm much too anal retentive to cosplay as someone I don't have the right face and body type for, so it's kind of a flip-flop, I guess.
I'm not adverse to wearing wigs, either. P:
