so i have been to a few cons, (Afest twice and Akon twice) and i dressed up but with lackluster success. mostly because i never really put thought into what character i could depict the best and i also want to start making my own costumes so they look realistic instead of thrown together....

Im 6'0 ft flat
about 175lbs
and as you can see im a little bit darker than most people,
and i am working out right now so i hope to be in a little bit better shape when i go.

One word: Squall

I agree with the Phazttraxx with Squall. Though probably Tenjho Tenge's Bunsichi or Shin though youd have to have a wig for both. Especially long haired Shin.

My first immediate thought, and don't get offended because I love the show, was Sokka from Avatar. I know there are very few people classify it as truly anime, but for an american cartoon, I love the style and the storyline, and wouldn't object to anyone at a con for cosplaying in the series.

I certainly wouldnt be offended, I actually watch this as much as I can. I seem to see why you chose this Nuliayuk.
