Alright, so I'm finding it really rather difficult to find female characters with short brown hair to cosplay. x'D;;

I'm pretty good at sewing and altering patterns. I'd prefer something that didn't show a ton of skin, although Otakon is late-august, so I'd prefer something that wouldn't be TOO sweltering.

I'm POSSIBLY okay with crossplaying, just so long as it's not something tight across the chest. (Busts ftw!)

Well, there's always Light Yagami from Death Note, or Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed/Gundam Seed Destiny, and depends - if you'd like to dye your hair, you could go black hair, and try Yuffie Kisaragi, from Final Fantasy. :]

I could of sworn there was a Light Yagami look alike that was actually female especially in the opening that the american dub is using now... The one when on the ending credits theres something about Eraser Rain.

I could definately see that. Or a good sailor mercury/amy if you don't mind dying/tinting your hair.

edit: never mind, you said not skin-showing and brown hair. soooo sailor mercury would be a no. but you still would be cute as her. or maybe sakura from cardcaptors?
