Kagura Backpack!

My friend wants to go as Kagura, but she doesn't know how to make the kyo kitty backpack she's always carrying. I don't either. Any help is appreciated.
This is the best backpack tutorial I could find, I don't know what the bag you what to make looks
like. But heres a start.
