I'm making a Teresa costume for one of my friends and I need some MAJOR HELP! I was thinking a leotard and leggings, but I would have to modify the leotard somehow. any suggestions on how to do that?

Did you try manipulating a full body suit?

If you read the manga, they actually show Teresa (and many other Claymores) without the armor and such. The standard dance leotards and even a full body suit wouldn't be correct.

The Claymore standard uniform is three parts without the armor...the long sleeved shirt, the pants and the inner neck section that has the symbol of their name on it.

The Fauld gives the Claymore appearance that of a armor half skirt attached to the upper bodysuit but it's not. As I said earlier, it's just a pair of pants and a long sleeved suit that curves really close to the outer shoulders.

Once you see the outfit in the manga, you'll see that there's a lot of patterns that greatly resemble the outfit. It's pretty basic aside from the armor sections.

So yea, study the manga since the women in there are always striping down to those lower levels of the uniform and study various patterns and such.

Yep! I sometimes forget that the best references come from the manga instead of the anime. I remember on a particular costume I spent forever looking for some good shots in the anime but in the end, I went with some scans from the manga instead.

In terms of Claymore, both are good but the manga is easily available on the internet.

Need the link?
I'll admit that I didn't like Claymore and didn't get what the whole rush about the series was all about until I went to this site and read what they had translated so much of it.

The part with flashback Teresa starts at Chapter 12 the way Onemanga sets it up. I think by 3 or 4 (you'll understand when you see the breakdown of her arc) you see her full outfit without all the armor.

If you want some general references though, the first chapter is enough because Claire rests in the second section of the chapter.
