Help with Blood+ katana

i need to make a katana with a friend o'mine, saya otonashi's katana. any suggestions? please!
If you need a wooden prop, Buy a Bouken and sand down the sides. Or mold one and pour Hot-glue or plastic.
What's with the "blood"? Use Red Corn Syrup.
