Seeking help on Cable's BFG construction

Anyone know of a good tutorial on how to make Cable's BFG gun prop from Deadpool 2? I found this tutorial which does a decent job of putting together most of his costume: https://www.gogocosplay.com/cable-costume/

But they recommend painting a nerf gun for the BFG which just seems a bit lazy to me. I'd really like to create something that looks like the movie version of the BFG. Any ideas?
