Gajeel, fairy tail cosplay

I want to do a Gajeel cosplay and I want to make it all from scrap. But I can't find any kind of robe or anything similar to the one he has so I was seeing if I could get suggestions

the shoulder part is not easy to make. you may need particular equipment to make the part.
Sometimes it may seems dark, but the absence of light is a necessary part!
