Mello's Scar

Post by Ichiko » Mon Feb 19, 2007 3:41 pm

I want to cosplay as Mello from Death Note, but I'm clueless right now as to making his scar |D
I've looked around a bit, but I can't find tips or help on how to make it. I'd love it if you guys could point me in the right direction or offer some help.

Here's a ref:

hello!
This might be a tough one because it isnt the usual clean cut almost pretty scar you see in most animes. It almost looks more like a burn.

Anyway I bought some of this for my boyfriend a while ago for his squall cosplay and its pretty neat stuff! its like a liquid you can brush on your skin and when it drys it pulls te skin down and looks like a natural scar. Its called, Rigid Collodion Scarring Liquid. You can then add color make up on top of it if you want it to be redish or just leave it as os for a skin tone.

Here is a link to one place that sells it. Plus its CHEEP!

Wow, I'm definitely going to have to try that out |D
It says it shouldn't be used in the eye area, and part of it goes right over the eye. How near to the eye would it be able to be put while still being safe? I'm not really sure how it works, should it go around the whole area the scar is, or would I just need to put it around where the edges are are all rigid?

like anything that isnt water based getting that stuff in your eyes would be bad, to be safe a good rule for this type of thing is one finger width above and below your eyelid and no closer. I think to get the best effect i would just but the stuff over the parts you want to look rigid ( sory if that isnt a good description) but you should have enough in the botle to try it out and see what looks best. =)
