sango costume. HELP ME!! please!
how do I make a sango (from inuyahsa) costume? Do I just find a kimono pattern then alter the colours? Then put a long green skirt around it? what to do?

(I'm really sorry if this doesn't post right, this is my first time replying to something)
your idea with altering the pattern sounds like it would work.
I think that's actualy a very good idea, and yes, making a skirt like hers and then wearing it would probably work.

your doing her more casual outfit right? (the one on the right side)
If so, yes. In theory your idea sounds like it would work and i'd say go for it.

From the looks of it, Sango is wearing "peasant" wear over her... bodysuit? You can find a useful pattern to help you create her "blouse" from this company http://www.folkwear.com/asian.html. they have very good traditional patterns from other cultures. I'm sure you can even find a pattern to make a wrap skirt that she wears. It should overall be really simple.
As far as coloring goes, hmm...You can try dying a white cotton. Or paint it. I'd probably go for dying. I'd only recommend dying if you're up to it. It's sometimes difficult because certain dyes have different needs. And you can always buy a green cotton for the wrap skirt.
I hope this helps :3 And be sure to have photos when you're done.
