Thanks for the suggestions, they sound really good. I'll have to try them. As for the bottom of the shoes...I dunno. I think I'd worry about walking around on fun foam. ^^; That's why the shoe idea seems attractive to me--it'll be like...walking around on shoes. I dunno.

Have you tried Goodwill or Salvation Army? My friend found a nice one for her costume...though that was sorta lucky. Anyway, you should try it, they sometimes have things like that.

Real hair. I've tried just doing a high ponytail, but it doesn't look quite right, I end up having to put it in a normal-ish ponytail and then clip it to the back of my head to make it stick out like that. It might be my hair-length, I don't know. Is there a better way?

Well...as far as the top design goes, I'd use felt cutouts. 'Course, that's all I know how to do, really (I'm a newbie at cosplay).
