Construction Details:

Costume and armor time: approx 165 hours.
I created my own patterns for the bodice and skirt, as well as combined sheer and opaque fabrics to get the right color of pink. All black line work was sewn 3 times to attach front, miter corners, and attach back side (LOTS of stitch in the ditch). Bodice...(Read More) is fully lined and boned using industrial zip ties for boning.
Armor was made from craft and upholstery foam sandwiched between layers of WonderFlex, then primer and bondo were applied and sanded, process repeated until smooth, silver sprayed, and finally clear coated.
Caliburn sword blank was created by Ascension Props, then I carved, sculpted, and painted it.

Personal Thoughts:

Loved making this costume using no pre-made patterns.
