Construction Details:

Let me preface this by saying everything was made and patterned by me (sans socks, blouse, petticoat and tie).
The skirt is three circle skirts. The top skirt was altered on a form, the middle skirt was a short circle skirt with a rectangle two times its size pleated to give it a tiered effect, and the bottom skirt was just a skirt hemmed to the edge of my petticoat. Everything was then trimmed with lace. The waistband uses a skirt hook and eye for a closure.

Personal Thoughts:

Celestia has been my dream cosplay for the longest time and it was such a great feeling to finally be done!! I learned so much while working on her. It was a great experience both in the working stage and actually wearing it!

Styling Notes

The drill curls were made with a base of chicken wire, which I covered in felt and then stitched together so it wouldn't lose its curl shape. I then covered it in wefts from Arda, using craft glue, hairspray and tears to hold it in place. I attached it to a headband by drilling holes into the headband and the curls. I used 4 screws and 4 bolts to secure it. I then covered the headband in lace and ribbons and voila-- Celes was born.

I didn't make her curls waist-length simply for portability reasons.
