About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The cloak was bought by a friend at the time. I had to to alter the waistline because it was way too big for me. The chains also didn't have the chain work completed. So I made the beads out of silver oven bake polymer clay which I glazed with the special glaze for oven bake polymer clay to add more shine.
- Personal Thoughts:
- My first official cosplay was Marluxia from Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Technically you could say that my first one was my OC from one of of my fan-fictions, but I think Marluxia deserves the title. The reason why was very... interesting. Long story short, there was a Kingdom Hearts club at my old high school and when you joined the club, you had to pick a character in the game to be called as and to eventually cosplay as. Well, the only characters that were left were Lexaeus, Xaldin, and Marluxia. I knew I could never pull off Lexaeus or Xaldin and I didn't really like them either. I knew I could have a lot of fun with Marluxia because he is extremely flamboyant. I also had a similar facial bone structure to him so I chose him. Eventually I fell in love with the character and decided to officially cosplay as him and I am so glad I did! I guess that whole club mess happened for a very good reason, huh? xD
Besides that, right now I am currently looking into building or buying his scythe.

- Wig Review
- Bad wig quality. Frays and over time the color fades. The wig fibers are also too shiny which isn't good for cameras with flash. I would definitely not buy wigs from this company ever again.
