Personal Thoughts:

Who doesn't love Sheryl's outfits? I love the fact that the Macross series allows its characters to be so fashionable. But not only that, but Sheryl herself is such a complex character you don't know if you hate her, love her, pity her, or really understand her. Just really well written and animated!
