Blazer
The blazer was made of left over red pleather I had from a previous project from several years ago, actually. It’s red with a black blotchy pattern in it. The one in the movie had more of a snake skin print, but this was made on a whim, and quite frankly, I didn't care about texture accuracy at this point.
Every seam line is 100% accurate to the one in the film. I bought some self cover buttons to have matching buttons down the front. I used heavy weight interfacing in the collar to keep it standing. There is a seam line running down the back of the blazer that has an ease opening in the back (just like the one in the film!)
The entire blazer is lined with a deep red lining.
Pants
The pants are made of a different dark red pleather. In the movie her pants are a separate fabric than the blazer. I just so happened to have another red pleather on hand that wasn't being used, so it was made into the pants. Again, every seam line is 100% accurate (and these pants have some crazy seam lines on them!)
The pants have a closer fit at the top and a bell bottom leg. A zipper is in the back seam of the pants with a flap cover.
Boots
The boots are another item I had yet again (this was literally a bargain costume, use what I have on hand)
They are the same boots I used for my Dynasty Warriors Yue Ying costume.
Necklace and Shirt
The necklace is one I had already. It looked remarkably like the one used in the film, including the chain length.
The red shirt is a red tank top I bought for this. It cost a whopping $3. That was the only money put directly into this cosplay.
I've been considering making a mechanical arm to wear (similar to the one she has in the movie that doubles as a flame thrower.)
Next time I will do some Terminator style makeup to make it look like metallic skeleton is exposed.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Despite the fact that fans of the Terminator series didn't like this particular film, I did. I loved the fact that the antagonist was a female Terminator that could kick some serious ass. Another thing I loved about her…the pleather outfit. Let’s get started on the construction.
