God, it's a lot. Here goes...
*Bodice: Wool + silk + lurex brocade (it has this beautiful champagne gold paisley pattern in it) with a silk chiffon overlay at the bust. Fully boned with a pearlized power mesh panel in the back with hook & eye tape to close it. Purple shoulder straps are silk + wool twill and crushed silk velvet. Hand beaded seed & bugle bead, pearl, and Swarovski detailing.
*Gloves: More of the brocade, pearlized power mesh panel at the inner elbow, pearlized lambskin leather for the palms and inner fingers on the right glove. Bits of the silk + wool twill and crushed silk velvet for the patterns on the forearms. Hand beaded seed & bugle bead and Swarovski detail on the left hand.
*Briefs: Non-stretch silk jacquard for the front, matching color spandex for the back and edge bindings.
*Waist sashes: Two layers of silk chiffon with lurex clip-dot detail, one layer of heavy sandblasted silk charmeuse. French chantilly lace applique on the charmeuse layer. Ties on with this cute vintage ribbon (it has tiny silk ribbon bows embroidered on it!), Swarovski details. Will be adding more details to this later, I ran out of time. :(
~Cape: Longer layer is silk chiffon (same as what was used for the bust overlay on the bodice), with a vintage METAL lace trim sewn to the bottom. The metal lace gives it a really lovely weight so the cape will drag behind me instead of flutter. Upper layer is a Marc Jacobs silk chiffon with gold lurex stripes. Yoke for the cape is more of the heavy washed charmeuse with french chantilly lace overlay. Collar is silk chiffon interfaced with stiff petticoat netting. The yoke of the cape snaps to the back of my bodice with giant snaps to help support the weight of the trim at the bottom. The chain closure at the front of the cape doesn't choke me, yay!
Armor: Double-layered Worbla with gold leafing (the flake type) for the trimming. Shoulder pauldrons are painted with Golden acrylics in Intereference Gold and small Gold Mica Flake. Swarovski crystal rivolis for the purple "studs". Kneepads are painted with purple metal flake Testors spray enamel. I riveted a leather and spandex strap to the back of the pads to keep them in place.
Quiver + Belt: Heavy buckram covered with purple pearlized lambskin leather. Crushed silk velvet and swarovski detailing.
My bow was purchased, but I repainted and decorated it. It was this really hideous green color when it arrived to me, but hey, I got it for $40! Arrows are just wooden dowel rods with Foamies for the fletching, and I glued gold spike studs to the tips. - Personal Thoughts:
- DREAM COSTUME ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED. After years of dreaming about it, finally did it. I'm so happy! Also, I'm a white pillar. God I need some sun lol.
