About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
All the armor is made with craft foam, Rub n Buff, and acrylic paint. I painted the designs on the collar, skirt, fins and chestplate, also with acrylics. The scales on the tail were cut out of fabric and heat-n-bonded. It took foreverrrrr! The sword is made with basswood.
The skirt pattern is based on a regular mermaid skirt pattern with the tail as an extension of the front panel. - Personal Thoughts:
- I really liked the witch designs in Madoka, and I thought it'd be a cool challenge to make a mermaid costume!
