Construction Details:

Originally, I had planned this costume for Anime Central. I decided to attend Katsucon late December, and when I decided that, I KNEW I had to pump out this dress for the con. The location is too good to pass up for photos! It took about five consecutive weekends to complete.

I followed a bridal pattern by Simplicity closely, though I altered the skirt to match Garnet's dress. This was my first time hand embroidering; I think it turned out well for a beginner!

I followed Euphoria's tutorial when it came to the headpiece and belt! I am currently planning to remake both for ACen though, as model magic is too fragile. I had to keep Gorilla Glue on me at all times, just in case.

I did not make the crown piece for her necklace, though that will be made for ACen. I also plan to re-hem the dress as it is currently unfinished underneath.

Personal Thoughts:

I absolutely love this dress. I feel like a real princess! At Katsucon, little girls were coming up to me and asking for photos with me. Most adorable moments ever!

Wig Review

Despite how easily long wigs tangle, this one took almost no time to detangle! I was very happy.
