Construction Details:

I made this costume for Aki-con 2010 and Sakura-con 2011. The wings were the biggest undertaking for me, they took about 20+ hours of work. I used the feather wings tutorial, http://www.paper-wings.org/tutorials/wings/wings.html, but I had to improvise to make the omega symbol that Mystia has in the middle of her wings. I covered the wire I used with lots of hot glue, and then painted over it with an acrylic paint to make it look like 'bone'. I made the head and ankle wings in about the same way as the main wings, but I used a cross-stich board as a base.
