Construction Details:

A lot of satin-stitching. This was one of my first attempts (sewn in 2008 D: Wow...) at creating a pattern with a lining, and I would love to recreate it in better materials with my current knowledge and skill. The sleeves are short and too tight under the arms, but I still love this jacket. The shorts are patterned after an old pair of Sailor Star Fighter shorts. I studded the belt myself, embellishing the nylon with about 50 pyramid studs. The boots, while fun to paint, were a disaster and a learning experience in material combinations. The bikini top was really, REALLY fun to make, because it involved melting vinyl together. The flames are fused to the black part with pure, awesome heat, and made my apartment smell terrible for about a week. Terrible with SUCCESS.

Styling Notes

The idea for styling this wig came entirely from the way another cosplayer (Heza-chan) styled her Yoko wig. It's two wigs: one for the base, cut and styled, and another for the ponytail. The ponytail wig was made by poking a claw clip through the cap, and it's REALLY full and heavy!
