I have way too many characters I want to play but too few resources to support them and too little available time to represent them. I prefer characters which everyone knows but no one wants or thinks to play because they receive the most attention.
I started making my own costumes proper for Katsucon 2008 with Beelzenef (Ouran High School Host Club). After two years I stepped up my level a bit with Babbit (Kodomo no Omocha) which debuted at Katsucon 2010. My latest creation, Excalibur (Soul Eater), is a major elevation for me and debuted, again, at Katsucon 2011. I love "mascot" costumes!
On the side I'm working on a Giroro (Sgt.Frog) gijinka and a full Archie from Team Aqua (Pokemon). I can't decide which Pokemon to make for Otakon this year.
